Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the hiredashy.com website (the "Site") and the mobile installation services provided by Dashy LLC ("Dashy," "we," "us," or "our"), a Louisiana limited liability company based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. By using the Site, requesting a quote, or booking an installation, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

Dashy provides mobile, on-location installation of vehicle technology equipment, including dash cameras, ELD (electronic logging) devices, GPS trackers, and power inverters, for personal and fleet vehicles. We install both customer-supplied equipment and equipment supplied by Dashy. We travel to your location within our service area; we do not operate a public retail location.

2. Quotes and Pricing

  • Installation labor is priced as advertised on the Site or as quoted to you for your specific job. Equipment, when supplied by Dashy, is priced separately from installation labor.
  • Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. If your vehicle or requested work differs materially from what was described (for example, additional vehicles, non-standard wiring, or prior installation issues that must be corrected), the final price may change. We will tell you about any price change before performing the additional work.
  • Prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is due upon completion of the work unless we have agreed to other arrangements in writing (for example, invoicing for fleet customers).

3. Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Cancellation

  • Appointment times are scheduled in coordination with you and confirmed by phone, text, or email.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the time slot to another customer.
  • If our technician arrives at the scheduled time and the vehicle is unavailable or inaccessible, we may treat the appointment as a missed appointment and a trip fee may apply.
  • We may reschedule appointments due to severe weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances beyond our control, and will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete your installation safely and correctly, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact, vehicle, and equipment information when requesting a quote or booking
  • Make the vehicle available at the scheduled time and location, with keys and any needed access
  • Provide a reasonably safe, level, and legal work area for our technician (such as a driveway, parking lot, or job site with permission to work there)
  • Disclose any known electrical issues, prior modifications, or aftermarket wiring in the vehicle
  • For customer-supplied equipment, provide complete, functional equipment with all necessary parts and hardware

We may decline or stop work if conditions are unsafe or if the vehicle or equipment is not in a condition that allows proper installation. If work cannot proceed for reasons within your control, a trip fee may apply.

5. Installation Workmanship Warranty

Dashy provides a 1-year limited warranty on installation workmanship, beginning on the date the installation is completed. If a problem arises within that period that is caused by our installation work — such as a loose connection, improper mounting, or wiring error — we will repair it at no charge for labor.

This warranty covers Dashy's installation work only. It does not cover:

  • Defects or failures in the equipment itself, whether supplied by you or by Dashy — equipment defects are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and warranty claims for equipment must be made with the manufacturer
  • Damage caused by accidents, collisions, misuse, neglect, water intrusion unrelated to our work, or normal wear and tear
  • Modifications, repairs, or removal/reinstallation of the equipment performed by anyone other than Dashy
  • Software, firmware, subscription, or connectivity issues with the equipment or its associated services

To make a warranty claim, contact us using the information below with your name, the installation date, and a description of the issue.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dashy's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the installation giving rise to the claim. Dashy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, loss of use of a vehicle, towing, or downtime, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Compliance Disclaimer

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of installed equipment (including dash cams, ELD devices, and GPS trackers) complies with applicable laws and regulations, including recording-consent laws, employer monitoring rules, and FMCSA/DOT requirements applicable to your operation. Dashy installs equipment; we do not provide legal or regulatory compliance advice.

8. Website Use and Intellectual Property

The content of the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and images — belongs to Dashy LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, or submit false or misleading information through our forms.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or our services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. The Terms in effect at the time you book an installation apply to that installation.
